BDC Air Pipe bag

The BDC ‘Air’ Pipe Bag transforms your chanter into a performance bagpipe. It’s comfortable, portable and convenient for traveling.

The BDC ‘Air’ Pipe Bag is inflated by a mouth blown valve placed on the rear of the bag. A specially turned spigot (adapter) is then placed into the mouthpiece socket and secured to the pipe bag with embedded O rings which makes it easy to maneuver for the best playing position.

The ‘Air’ Pipe Bag is made from the same material as breathable pipe bags, and even when semi-inflated comfortable to play. The pipe bag emulates a traditional playing position with fingers, arms and posture mirroring how you would play on a traditional bagpipe.

It’s quick to setup then pack away inside your Digital Chanter case and all parts are assembled ready to use.

BDC Bagpipe adapter

Insert the Digital Chanter into your full size Bagpipes!

Designed by master-pipemaker Bill Travaille, here’s how’s it works:
A Spigot is screwed into the mouthpiece of the chanter then an inverted stock is inserted into a pipe bag.

The Chanter is then inserted into the stock, secured by the O rings embedded into the spigot. This makes the chanter easy to insert, position for an ideal playing position and remove when finished.

Practice anytime of the day with pipes on your shoulder, in position, and with headphones even when others are in asleep! The positioning and feel is identical to playing a full-size bagpipe without needing to blow.

The adapter can be installed into a full size bagpipe pipe bag or into a standalone bag without drones.

Blair Ergo Pipe Bag

The ‘Ergo’ Pipe Bag is moulded from high performance memory foam with a profile shaped to position around the rib cage, rather than into like traditional bags (see video below). The chanter is attached using a spigot (supplied with the bag) and easy to remove within seconds. The Ergo bag offers incredible comfort for playing and finished with a plush velvet cover so audio cables and wireless gear can be out of sight.
