Simple Smart Control

The worlds first chanter with a digital OLED screen. The Blair Digital Chanter features a large OLED display which makes settings clear and easy adjust. Unobtrusive, the screen can’t be seen from the front so the chanter has the appearance of a regular chanter. As a ‘smart chanter’ a single button is used for navigation, selecting instruments and editing settings. Easy to operate, simple to use.

At the core of the Blair Digital Chanter experience are the finger holes, which are the same as the traditional bagpipe. Each hole has a digital motion sensor to detect finger movements which can also be individually adjusted to suit your playing style. Tune in your fingers and no matter how they change the sensor can be adjusted.

Compose, Record, Perform

The Blair Digital Chanter features a built -in USB MIDI interface and Stereo audio output. Connect a USB cable and join the world of MIDI by playing any software instrument from your chanter, online learning apps or use the audio output for multi-track recording. Add foot-pedal guitar effects such as reverb, chorus, distortion or by simply adding the inbuilt studio reverb to the Highland Bagpipe you have a stage-ready performance instrument. For the home studio, plug into a music app like Garageband so you can play bagpipe fingering and sound the instruments of an orchestra.

Connect headphones to play all night without disturbing family or friends. For learning bagpipes with a teacher it’s a perfect start for new students to progress quickly, then develop the breathing skills.
